S.A.V.A. Member Ashlie McDonald

I just appreciate all that Anyania Muse and S.A.V.A have helped me with. I had a hard  time financially in college and being able to have somewhere to turn to, ask questions, and get sound advice made S.A.V.A a much appreciated and sought after resource then and still.

I started college with the hope that I could pursue a major in computer science. That hope came from wanting to follow in the footsteps of an uncle. I was having such a hard time understanding the curriculum I wanted to give up. And I did for a while until I had the ability to really connect with S.A.V.A.

S.A.V.A helped me to realize that what worked for one, may not work for me; that the road that was accessible for my uncle was not the same road that I might have access to.

S.A.V.A. never told me to give up just because that road was not working, they helped me to change my perspective on how I can get there. Directed me to look at the whole circumstance and find an alternative route. Come to find out my passion was still in the realm of working with computers but through the medium of media and communications.

I never would have had this perspective without S.A.V.A’s help, and this has also opened other doors to graphical design and even PR work of which I still consult and go right to S.A.V.A for more direction, guidance, resources and perspective adjusting.
